Payroll Manager – Maternity cover
A global Information Technology company based in the city is seeking a Payroll Manager to cover maternity leave. The Payroll Manager oversees all functions of the Payroll Department. This can include planning for accurate and timely delivery of payroll services, ensuring compliance with local tax and employment regulations and ensures that salary for sickness, maternity/paternity and holiday are consistent with HR guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for payroll processing and related activities to ensure timely and accurate salary payment in line with local tax and employment regulations and company HR policies.
• Monitor, develop policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure integrity of payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare routine financial reports, oversee retirement plans, company benefits and implement new payroll procedures as needed.
• Ensure that all transactions are correctly recorded and supported by authorised documentation in accordance with departmental and HR guidelines, internal financial procedures and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure that all statutory and departmental guidelines are correctly interpreted and applied and that all team members receive appropriate training.
• Process expense reimbursements in line with departmental and HR policies.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of ADP Freedom Payroll and Reports System
• Strong understanding of Payroll Legislation
• Good understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
• Good understanding of key issues and trends in payroll
Desirable
• Dealing with taxation and other requirements of non-EU nationals
• Understanding of PSAs & Dispensations
• Knowledge and understanding of Share Options
Skills and Knowledge
• Exemplary knowledge of payroll processes
• Able to interact with all levels of management and supervision
• Ability to exercise independent judgement
• Conscientious, detail orientated and ability to management multiple projects
• Works under pressure to meet deadlines
• General HR and accounting knowledge
