Residential Social Worker

Residential Social Worker – Wimbledon – Perm £21,000 - £24,000 (dependant on experience)

The suitable candidate will need A minimum of two years experience in a school setting or possess a minimum of NVQ3 child-care qualification (or equivalent) and have experience of working with children in a residential setting. All staff who are appointed will need to offer a high standard of care to children and young people with a visual impairment, many of whom have additional special needs. Furthermore you should have the willingness to participate in a wide range of recreational activities as well as the ability to promote and encourage independent life skills within a ‘waking day’ curriculum. You will need good written and communication skills for record keeping and report writing. A knowledge of care planning and target setting would also be desirable.
