Java Interface Developer

A large Financial Services Company based in London is looking for a Java Interface Developer to join their team.

Job Purpose:

• Develop Interfaces to Siebel application, written in Java/XML
• Provide on-going support to the existing Java Interfaces, which includes changes & defect fixing

Key Tasks/Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Development & Support of Java/XML interfaces to Siebel (Inbound and Outbound)
• Deployment of new/fixed Interface code to non-production and production environment
• Configuration Management of the source code
• Create and maintain documentation related to Interfaces
• Provide estimated Development times and assist development prioritization process
• Be available to work out of hours and / or perform extra work as required
• Provide out of office support on rota

Skills:

• 3-4 years experience of working on Java and XML Development and Support
• 2 year working experience with Oracle SQL (i.e. written complex queries)
• 2 year working experience working on Unix (not administration)
• Write Technical Development summary documents, review specifications documents
• Use of Incident and Change management tools (eg. Remedy)
• Use of source code configuration tools

Desirable
• Awareness of Siebel environment, EIM loading
• Experience of developing interfaces to Siebel
• Use of CVS (Source Code Configuration tool)

Knowledge/Qualification

Education: HND or Graduate
Desirable Qualification : Java Certifications
